Avigilon Integration - Event Type

Currently, the SureView integration with Avigilon raises all alarms as a generic "Avigilon Control Center System Event", regardless of the actual event type. However, the Avigilon system generates multiple distinct event types (e.g., motion detection, video analytics, license plate recognition, etc.).

Problem:
This lack of differentiation limits our ability to prioritize and respond effectively from the SureView alarm queue, as all events appear identical.

Recommendation:
Enhance the integration to parse and utilize the <avi:Message> section of the event payload, which contains the specific event type. Currently, SureView only pulls from the subject line, which does not provide sufficient detail for event categorization.

By using the actual event type from the body of the message, we can:

• Display more accurate alarm details in the queue

• Assign prioritization based on event type

• Improve operator response times and situational awareness

This improvement would significantly enhance the operational value of the Avigilon integration within SureView.
