Release 2 (2026) - 4th February

New Features

  • Virtual Operator: Image-Based Clip Processing:
The Virtual Operator (VO) has been updated to support clips that are composed of a series of static images. Previously, the VO may have been unable to process these specific file types. This update ensures that clips made up of multiple images are successfully analyzed by the AI.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Virtual Operator: Implemented image processing improvements to optimize how images are reduced and handled, enhancing system efficiency.
  • Virtual Operator: Resolved an issue where the Virtual Operator occasionally failed to retrieve and process Alarm Clips added via Pre-Alarm Recording Camera Automations (specifically addressing Frame Splitting errors).

Release 1 (2026) - 20th January

New Features

Over the last week, we have rolled out several new AI features designed to streamline operations and improve context for Virtual Operators.

  • Virtual Assist: Executive Summary in Site Monitor
We have added a "Generate Executive Summary" button to the Notify window within Site Monitor. This allows Response users to instantly generate a summary using Virtual Assist and efficiently email contacts while processing an Alarm, without leaving the workflow.

  • Virtual Operator: Area Notes Context
The Virtual Operator can now view and analyze "Area Notes" relevant to the event it is processing. This ensures the AI takes into consideration any temporary context or specific instructions for that area that might affect the response.
    • Note: This feature includes a filter to automatically exclude out-of-date notes.

  • Virtual Assist: Event Outcome Tasks
Users can now generate an Executive Summary at the absolute conclusion of an event when using an "Event Outcome" Action Plan Step. This allows users to efficiently create comprehensive documentation based on all previous actions taken during the event.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Virtual Operator: Improved the accuracy of Media understanding by increasing the number of video frames sent to the AI model for analysis.
  • Virtual Operator: Resolved an issue where the Virtual Operator was not correctly triggering Action Plan Step Guidelines.

Release 5 (2025) - 25th November

New Features

  • Virtual Operator De-Escalation
This update allows the Virtual Operator to lower an event’s priority when a de-escalation guideline is configured. The existing Escalate Guideline now supports both increasing and decreasing event priority.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Virtual Operator: Resolved an issue where the Virtual Operator Prompt Media was not processing in the correct order.
  • Virtual Operator: Resolved an issue where Virtual Operator was incorrectly counting objects.

Release 4 (2025) - 17th November

New Features

  • Virtual Operator / Virtual Assist: Claude LLM Integration
Virtual Operator and Virtual Assist now support model switching across multiple LLM providers.
You can seamlessly choose between language models such as OpenAI’s GPT-4o and Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet. The platform automatically handles API interactions, payload formatting, and response processing based on the selected model.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Virtual Operator: Resolved an error that was presented when closing events using Virtual Operator.
  • Task Plans: Resolved an issue where users could not add Guidelines to Virtual Operator that contain a Task Plan Step trigger due to the value dropdown being empty.

Release 3 (2025) - 14th October

New Features

  • Virtual Operator Action Plan – Yes/No/Choices
Virtual Operator can now complete Action Plan steps in a Response using AI, based on configured Guidelines. The Virtual Operator currently supports the following Action Plan types:

    • Input – Completed with AI-generated text

    • Yes/No – Completed with "Yes" or "No", determined by AI

    • Choices – Completed with one of the available options, selected by AI

The Virtual Operator will ignore Other Action Plan types in both triggers and actions.

Fixes & Improvements

  • CloudLink: Resolved CloudLink compatibility issues.

Release 2 (2025) - 27th August

New Features

  • Virtual Operator Guidance Increase
Increases the maximum allowed character length for the "General Behavior: Context" property in the Virtual Operator Settings. This field can now accommodate a lengthy paragraph of guidance, up to 3,000 characters.
  • Virtual Assist Optional Context
This enables administrators to give plain text context to the language model, guiding it on the types of information and format to include in event summaries.
