This integration requires a Class 2 License and a Device Server. Please contact your account manager for more details.
What is Verint? It is a Video Management Software (VMS) system.
Integration Description: The Integration is an advanced system-to-system integration and is a VMS platform that allows a user to view live camera along with recorded camera footage, and supports multiple alarm types. A variety of this functionality can be used via the SureView platform, Please see the features list for a full breakdown of this.
Supported Features
- Live Video
- Recorded Video
- PTZ
-
Get Config
- Sync
- Alarms
Supported Verint Versions
Verint devices (NVR's) must be compatible with the Verint SDK.
Integration Default: SDK Version 10.1.21.47141
License Requirements
N/A
Network Requirements
| From | To | Port | Description |
| OpsLink/Device Server | Integration System Server | 7111 TCP | Device / SDK Server Port |
| OpsLink/Device Server | Integration SQL Server | 1433 TCP | SQL Connection Port (For Sync Feature) |
Note: Ports listed above are the default ports. ports may be customized depending on individual Verint or network firewall settings.
Your Ops device server will be configured by your SureView representative in a remote or guided session. Speak with them to arrange a time where this connection can be established.
Prerequisites
This integration requires the Verint DVR SDK to be installed on the same machine as the CloudLink. The installer (example: VerintDvrSdk_Setup_10.1.21.47141.exe) can be found in the SureView Devices folder once the integration is installed.
Creating a sync
Navigate to Device Setup from the Main Menu
From the Device Setup Page Click the Sync Tab and then the Add Sync Button
Fill out the following and click Save Sync when finished:
| Title | The friendly name of the Verint Server you are connecting to |
| Type | Select "Verint Op-Center" |
| Host | IP/Hostname of server(If Applicable) |
| Port | Port to connect to(If Applicable) |
| Username | Username to connect (Above example is using sa to make a database connection) |
| Password | Password of user account |
| Options |
The mode in which you are connecting/extra options. In the above example it is configmode=db; See "Extra Info" below for more info |
| Ops Link | The name of your connected SureView Device "Cloud Link" server |
| Is Suite Sync | Syncs all retrieved data in the Suite |
| Is Device Sync | Sets the sync system up as a device sync |
Options
Options allow you to change the functionality of the integration, or enable and disable features.
Configuration extraValues
| extraValue | options | default | description |
|---|---|---|---|
| syncMode | db | sdk | sdk | SDK mode currently only supports GetConfig. DB mode connects to an OpCenter instance to perform GetConfig or Sync |
| singleServer | on | off | on | Use singleServer=off; to Sync or GetConfig all cameras matching the site identifier by dvr. Use singleServer=off; to Sync a new device for each DVR in Op Center. Only used with configMode=db, only works on Enterprise. |
| syncAllDVRs | on | off | off | Sync or GetConfig all DVRs including devices with no attached cameras. Only used with singleServer=off;
|
| smtpPort | 1-65535 | 25 | Port number to listen on for Verint OpCenter alarms. Required for the AlarmReceiver to function |
Example Options
configMode=db;database=VerintBackup;
🛈 Info
The extraValue uses the semicolon (;) as a delimiter, the trailing semicolon is optional but recommended.
Sync Devices
From the Device Setup page click the edit button under the Actions Column
Click the Sync Tab in the left tree, then click the Sync button
The latest status of the sync will be shown in the Last Sync State and will display if it fails or successfully processes.
When in a Processed state it was successful and you should see the Cameras populated in the Cameras Tab in the left tree.
Click the Cameras Tab to view the cameras.
Here you can see each camera that was sync'd into the system, the area that they are associated to, and the input information
To view the camera you can click the Camera Icon under the Actions Column
This will pop up a windows with the camera that was selected
Sync Filter
Filtering for Sync entries uses following syntax
| Wildcard character | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
% |
Any string of zero or more characters. |
%computer% finds all book titles with the word computer anywhere in the book title. |
_ (underscore) |
Any single character. |
_ean finds all four-letter first names that end with ean (Dean, Sean, and so on). |
[ ] |
Any single character within the specified range [a-f] or set [abcdef]. |
[C-P]arsen finds author last names ending with arsen and starting with any single character between C and P, for example Carsen, Larsen, Karsen, and so on. In range searches, the characters included in the range may vary depending on the sorting rules of the collation. |
[^] |
Any single character not within the specified range [^a-f] or set [^abcdef]. |
de[^s]% finds all author last names starting with de and where the following letter isn't s. |
GetConfig/Sync
This integration supports two modes for Sync and GetConfig. SDK mode connects directly to a DVR to obtain details for Sync, whereas DB mode connects to the database used by OpCenter to Sync multiple DVRs into SureView.
SDK Mode
When operating in SDK mode - the host, port and password fields must be filled out with the details of a single DVR. GetConfig is available to pull in any configured cameras attached to this camera, in addition to any preset names and indexes configured for those camera.
🛈 Info
Most Verint DVRs use port 7111 for communication.
⚠ Warning
Sync functionality is not implemented for SDK mode.
DB Mode
When operating in DB mode - the host, port, username and password fields must be filled out with details of the Op Center database to connect to.
🛈 Info
The Op Center database runs on SQL Server, usually on port 1433.
⛔ Danger
You may need to enable TCP/IP connections to the SQL Server.
Alarm Configuration
SMTP Alarms
The AlarmReceiver can receive and raise alarms from Verint Op Center for DVR related issues (Such as HDD temperatures). It will start on the port specified by the smtpPort extraValue. This extraValue is required when using the AlarmReceiver.
All other (non DVR alarms) should be sent to the SureView SMTP alarm receiver as usual.
Supported Alarm Types
| Alarm Type |
|---|
| Op-Center: Hard Disk Temperature Alert |
| Op-Center: Camera Outage Alert |
| Op-Center: DVR Not Seen Alert |
| Op-Center: UPS Status Problem Alert |

- Enable "Attached Image" to include an alarm snapshot or clip
- Enable Email Alarms and Save
In SureView
Add your [device] email alarm point into SureView Response by following the SureView Email Alarm Setup Support Page.
Once complete copy the email address for use in Verint

Troubleshooting
SDK Versions
The Verint Integration package is setup to install SDK Version 10.1.21.47141 automatically. The integration is also compatible with 14.1.1.57337 and requires Version 10.1.21.47141 to be manually uninstalled then manually installing 14.1.1.57337
Live Video Stuttering
This can indicate that the FPS setting in Verint does not match the FPS of the actual camera
- Open the Verint VI software and login to Verint
- Go to the Services tab
- Select the required DVR/NVR
- Click on the Setup tab
- Click Line Profiles
- Update the Rate (fps) value so it matches the camera's actual FPS rate
Troubleshooting extraValues
⛔ Danger
These troubleshooting extraValues are intended to aid with installation and troubleshooting of this integration. None of these values should be set on production servers!
| extraValue | options | default | description |
|---|---|---|---|
| database | <db_name> | Verint | Change the name of the Op Center database, mainly for pre-deployment testing with backup databases. Only used with configMode=db;
