Event Tags are labels that can be applied to alarm events either automatically by the system or manually by an operator to provide to make it easier to search and report on historic alarm events.
Additionally Tags can be used to force alarms to "Always Raise" overriding Masking and Ignore settings against that particular alarm or area.
Example tags could be
- Maintenance
- Security Event
- Critical
- Door Event
To create the list of Tags that can be used:
- Using an Administrator account go to the Main Menu
- Click "Organizational Settings"
- Scroll down to Section labelled Alarm Tags and Click "Add Alarm Tag"
- Add the Title of the Tag (e.g. "Door Event" and choose which Area (including child areas) it should apply to. For most use cases you can select your top level area / account level.
- If you want any alarms with this tag to always be raised to the alarm queue regardless of Masking, Ignore or Auto handle settings tick "Always Raise" (otherwise leave unticked)
- Click Add
