The port settings can be found by:
- Logging in using the DW Spectrum Client
- Right click on the Server and click "Server Settings"
- Open the "General" tab to see the "Port" filed

User Permissions can be configured on the DW Spectrum by logging in using the client software and:
Create the User Group for SureView
- Open System Administration (right click on the home icon in the DW menu or press Ctrl+Shift+A)
- Go to User Management tab
- Click "Add Group" to created a dedicated sureview user group
- Enter the group name "SureView"
- Go to "Resources" tab
- Ensure that at a minimum "Live View", "View Archive" and "User Input" are ticked for all cameras
- Press Add Group
Create the User for SureView
- Open System Administration (right click on the home icon in the DW menu or press Ctrl+Shift+A)
- Go to User Management tab
- Go to the "Users" tab
- Click "Add User"
- Provide a secure Username and Password for SureView to use to connect to cameras (Leave "Allow insecure" unticked)
- Select the sureview permission group that you created earlier
- Press Add User
Camera Stream Requirements
Camera streams must be set to H.264
Camera Stream settings can be configured in the DW Spectrum Client:
- Login to the DW Client Software
- Expand the Server in the side bar
- Right click on the individual camera and select "Camera Settings"
- Go to the "Advanced tab"
- Ensure both the Primary Codec and Secondary Codec is set to H.264
(Primary Codec is used for High / Highest Quality and Secondary Codec is used for Lowest / Low / Medium quality settings in SureView)
To validate the stream codec and resolution you can start playing the Live Camera in the DW client and hover the cursor over the camera window. The codec information in the bottom left corner of the screen
Native Integration: Device Setup

Camera detail will be automatically populated by Get Configuration or Sync feature

Digital Watchdog Camera ID - auto populated by Get Config. This is the unique identifier used to connect to the specific camera.

To find the Camera ID manually, login to the DW Spectrum client software...
- Expand the Server in the right hand side bar
- right click on the individual camera and select "Camera Settings"
- go to the "General tab"
- Click "More Info" drop down to expand and show more info
- Camera ID is displayed here (with a copy option)
Native Integration: Setup Alarms
Alarm Points will be automatically added in SureView by Get Configuration or Sync with one alarm point per digital watchdog camera.

Make a note of your Device number (ServerID) for your Digtial Watchdog device. You can find this when editing the device in SureView Device Setup

Make a note of your "Input1" values for your alarm points. Being careful to match the Alarm Title/Camera Name with the correct Input1 value. This is important as just because a camera is named "Camera 1" in Digital Watchdog and SureView doesn't mean it's "Input1" value will also be 1.
You can find your Alarm Input numbers by going to the Alarms tab when editing your device in SureView
- Login to the DW Spectrum Client
- Go to the System Administration screen (right click on the home button and click System Administration)
- Go to the Email tab and enter the following details
- Mail from: DigitalWatchdog@sureviewalarms.com
- username: blank

(these three fields aren't used by SureView but DW requires placeholders
- Press Apply
- Go to the User Management tab
- Click Add User and enter the following details

Login: SureView-S#.A#
where S# is your Server/Device number you found in step 1 and A# is the Input1 number tou found in Step 2.
Example:
SureView-S1.A2 - Email: S#.A#@sureviewalarms.com
- leave all other files blank including permission groups
- Press Add User

Login: SureView-S#.A#
- Repeat this process for each of your alarm points for your device
- Once complete press OK to close the System Administration window
- Go to the individual camera you want to configure an alarm for - right click and select "Camera Rules"
- Click "Add" to add a camera rule and enter the following details

- When: Select the action to trigger the alarm such as "Motion on Camera"
- At: Select the individual camera you are configuring (IMPORTANT: Select only one camera)

Action:
- Do: Send Email
- To: Select the appropriate user you created in Step 8
- Interval of action: Set at a low figure to ensure no missed alarms
- Press OK

Event
- Repeat for each camera and alarm trigger you want to send into SureView
- Press OK once complete. DW is now configured to send alarms into SureView

Troubleshooting
Preset GoTo not working
Unfortunately we have found that occasionally a camera's PTZ Presets won't be compatible with SureView.
