Create the Irisity Decoder

Please contact SureView Support for assistance in creating the decoder for the first time.

  1. Login to SureView and navigate to the "Alarms" setup screen
  2. Click on the "Alarm Decoder" Tab
  3. If the "Irisity" decoder does not already exist:
    Click "Add Alarm Decoder" and complete the following values
    Title: Irisity
    "sensorId":\s*"(?<rc>\d+)"
    Event Regex
    "behaviorType":\s*"(?<ec>[^"]+)"
    Extra Text Regex
    "objectType":\s*"(?<et>[^"]+)"
    URL Regex
    "EventClipUri": "(?<url>[^\s"]+)\s?"
    Default Area: Select your top level area
    (Your SureView Organisation Account Name)

    This is where alarms will be sent if they don't match to an individual Irisity alarm point
    Default Action Plan: Select your preferred Action Plan or leave blank
    Default Grouping: Select your preferred Default Grouping
    Recommended "By Area"
    Default Priority Enter your preferred default priority
    Recommended: 100

Add the Irisity Event Types

The "Event Types" are based on the Iristy "Behaviours" that can be matched during an analytic alarm.

  1. Login to SureView and navigate to the "Alarms" setup screen
  2. Click on the "Alarm Decoder" Tab
  3. Edit the "SureView Standard Decoder"
  4. If the following Event Types don't already exist - Add them
    Note: The Event Type Name, Default Priority and Default Grouping can be customised to your requirements but the "Event Code" must match exactly (including case) for compatibility with Irisity

System Identifier

Note down the "System Identifier" for your Irisity decode (shown in the "Alarm Decoder" tab of Alarm Setup). You will use this in Irisity for configuring the email alarms.

The email address to use in Irisity would then be be either

0rcs2ceaic@eu.sureviewops.com
or
0rcs2ceaic@us.sureviewops.com

depending on your SureView Response region.

 

Important: Make sure to use the @eu.sureviewops.com or @us.sureviewops.com domain that matches your SureView Response region / web address

 

In Irisity - First Time Configuration - Add Integration Target

  1. Navigate to portal.irisity.io and login
  2. Navigate to the settings tab on the upper level of the UI
  3. Select integration targets and add new

  4. Change type to email and give the integration a name

In Irisity - First Time Configuration - Set Targets to Folders

 

  1. Navigate to portal.irisity.io and login
  2. Navigate to the administrator tab
  3. Select the folder(s) which you want to enable the integration on.
  4. Navigate to the integrations tab and add new

  5. Select detection event, target (email) and your object type, behaviour type and severity. (Leaving the object, behaviour type and severity as it is will send events for any rules you have setup in IRIS+)
  6. Input the subject as "Irisity IRIS+" (or any other text you want to be displayed to the Operator on alarm)
  7. Set the recipient as the sureview email address you generated in the previous steps (based on the Sureview "System Identifier". It should be an address similar to
    0rcs2ceaic@eu.sureviewops.com
    or
    0rcs2ceaic@us.sureviewops.com
    depending on your SureView Response region.
  8. By default the Irisity IRIS+ email alarms do not include the "Temporary Alarm Video URL". Reach out to Irisity for assistance in configuring the SureView Alarming content to include the URL in the body of the email. Once done once this content can be copied for any additional folders that need to be configured.

 

In Irisity IRIS+ -  Finding the Sensor IDs to map to SureView Alarms

SureView matches the incoming alarms based on the "Sensor ID" follow these steps to find the Camera's Sensor IDs

  1. Navigate to portal.irisity.io and login
  2. Select your camera and navigate to it’s settings tab
  3. The sensor ID can be found here next to the camera status box.

  4. Copy the ID for use in SureView

Follow these steps for each individual alarm point / Irisity IRIS+ camera that you want to add to SureView.

Note: If an incoming Irisity IRIS+ alarm does not match any known alarm points it will automatically trigger in the Default Area that was selected during the Alarm Decoder setup (this is normally your top level area)

  1. Go to the Alarm Setup screen and make sure the Smtp Alarms tab is selected
  2. Click the Add Alarm button
  3. Configure your alarm point with the following details (other fields can be left blank)
    1. Alarm Name e.g. "Stairwell", "Front Door", "Main Entrance" etc
    2. Area - The Area/Site the alarm point should be associated with
    3. Action Plan - If you have an Action Plan for your operators to follow such select it, otherwise leave this blank
    4. Alarm Decoder - Select your Irisity alarm decoder
    5. Response Code - Enter the "Sensor ID" that matches the camera/alarm you're adding - found in the Irisity IRIS+ Settings screen.
    6. Priority - How important the alarm is (higher the number, the more important the alarm). Normal alarms are normally set to priory 100. If left blank the alarm will use the default priority based on the type of alarm
    7. Grouping - Select "By Area"
    8. Auto Handle - Select "No"
  4. Press Add

Irisity IRIS+ alarms come into SureView with an attached snapshot (including bounding box) which will be shown in Media Matrix plus a temporary URL that can be clicked to load the alarm video.

 

The temporary video URL will expire a 25 minutes after the alarm was triggered. If the link has expired the below error message will be displayed if the user clicks the link

Code: 10011, token expired

 

Raw Email Text Example

Below is an example of email text that is sent to SureView for decoding. This is documented for technical reference for advanced users want or may want to adjust the Iris Regular Expression decoders to adapt the incoming alarm.
