Network Requirements

Native Integration: Device Setup

Enterprise Integration Host

It is required to create an empty device for the Hanwha Session Manager server type. This allows for reusable Hanwha sessions, eliminating the connection restrictions. 

Important: You only need to add one Hanwha Session Manager. Once setup you can skip this step for all future Hanwha NVRs

  1. Setup: Devices
  2. Devices Tab
  3. Add device
  4. Complete the Device Details Fields

    Area Your top level area / account
    Type select "Hanwha Session Manager"
    Host Leave Blank
    Port Leave Blank / 0
    Username Leave Blank
    Password Leave Blank

  5. Press Save

 

Setting up your Hanwha NVR in SureView

  1. Setup: Devices
  2. Devices Tab
  3. Add device
  4. Complete the Device Details Fields

    Field Value
    Title The friendly name of the Hanwha NVR you are connecting to
    Area The Area the Hanwha NVR will be added to
    Type select "Hanwha"
    Host The local IP or Host address of the Hanwha Server (from the perspective of the SureView Device Server)
    Port The Hanwha Web Port - 443 by default
    Username Your Hanwa Username
    Password Your Hanwha NVR Password
    ExtraValue

    This allows you to configure which cameras you want to load to the system with the Get Config (or sync) features.
     

    Filter by camera name

    Note: You can use * as a wildcard filter

    Example

    CameraName=*Door*

     

    Would match 

    • Front Door
      Back Door
      Door - Interior 

     

    Filter by Camera Channel ID

    Example

    cameraChannel=1

    Would only load Camera 1

     

    Camera State

    Allows filtering of Cameras by state.

    Possible Options:
    On (Sync only On/Active Cameras),
    Off (Sync only Off Cameras),
    All (Sync On and Off Cameras)

     

    Example

    cameraSate=All

    Will load all cameras 

     

    Recommended Value

    cameraState=All

    This will allow the Get Configuration feature to load all cameras regardless of their name, channel or camera state 

     

  5. Press Save
  6. Make a note of your device ID shown at the top of the device setup box "Device xxx Details"
    You will need the number when configuring the Hanwha to send alarms
  7. Press Get Configuration to load and add the required cameras and alarm points

Native Integration: Setup Live Camera Streaming

The cameras will load automatically with the Get Configuration / Sync feature. But for reference these are the values that will get automatically populated

Field Value
Title
The name of the camera that will be shown to the operator
Area The Area/Site the camera will be associated with
Input1 the camera channel number
Hanwha channel numbers start at 0. 
Channel 0 = Camera 1
Channel 1 = Camera 2 
Channel 2 = Camera 3 
etc
Input2 Not used, leave as "-1"
ExtraValue the camera channel number

 

Native Integration: Setup Alarm

Login to Hawha Web Interface...

 

Configure the SMTP connection details...

Navigate to:

  1. Setup
  2. Network
  3. E-mail

Fill out the inputs:

Configure Event Sending Interval

Navigate to Event tab

  • Delivery interval is the time between each alarm being sent. (This is to avoid runaway alarms)
  • Set the delivery interval in:
    • Seconds: Alarms will not include attached image snapshot
    • Minutes: Alarms will include attached image snapshot (but have longer in-between alarms)

Recommended value: 5 seconds

Configure Recipients (TO email addresses)

Important: You need to configure one recipient group per camera

Navigate to Recipient Tab

  1. Click the left + icon to add a group.  Give it the same Name as the camera you are configuring e..g. "Camera 1"

  2. Click the right + icon to add a recipient
  3. Select the Camera Group you created in step 1
  4. Enter the same name in the name field e.g. "Camera 1"
  5. Enter the email address S(DeviceID).A(CameraChannelNumber)@sureviewsystems.com
    e.g. for Hanwha DeviceID 123, Camera Channel 0 (camera 1) - S123.A0@sureviewsystems.com

    Your Device ID can be found when editing the Hanwha NVR device in SureView Setup

Repeat this for each Camera on your NVR

 

Important note

Hanwha Cameras index from 0

Channel 0 = Camera 1

Channel 1 = Camera 2

Channel 2 = Camera 2

 

Configure Events

Navigate to

  1. Setup
  2. Event
  3. Event rule Setup

Important: you need to create triggers for each camera you want to alarm in

  1. Click Add

  2. Click Create rule (or Copy Rule when setting up alarms for multiple cameras)
  3. Enter a rule name such as "Camera 1 alarms"
  4. Click Add Trigger
  5. Select the Trigger Type (such as Motion Detection)
  6. Click the Camera number that matches the camera you're configuring
  7. Repeat step 4 for each alarm type you the camera to alarm in using.
  8. Click Add Action
  9. Click E-mail
  10. Select the Email Group that matches the camera you're configuring
  11. Select any alarming schedule that you have
  12. Press Apply

  13. Repeat for each alarming camera
