How to Restrict Operators to Specific Alarm Queue Filters

In Sureview, you can limit which alarms an operator can see and process by tying their User Role to specific Alarm Queue Filters. This is ideal for specialised teams (e.g., a "GSOC" team that should only see high-priority events).

Steps to Configure Restrictions

  1. Navigate to Permission Setup.
  2.  Select the User Role you wish to edit from the list
  3.  In the User Role Details window, scroll to find the following permission:
"Restrict User Role to only handle Events in specified Alarm Queue Filters"
  4.  Check the box to enable the restriction.
  5.  Use the drop down menu next to the permission to select one or more filters (e.g., GSOC, Maintenance, Tier 1 etc).
  6. Press Save

Important Note

Once this permission is enabled, the operator will no longer see the "All" tab in their alarm queue. They will be strictly limited to the filters you have selected.

If an alarm does not fall into one of the assigned filters, it will not be visible to the users with this restricted permission.
